Adrian, MI – The Adrian City Commission approved an option to sell property near the Lenawee ISD campus on the north end of the city (a portion of the Witt Farm property) to the Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute.

The option agreement would be for the sale of approximately 21.25 acres of land, with the sale price for that portion of the land that was historically farmland to be $8,000 per acre and the sale price for the balance of the land, currently wooded, to be $10 per acre.

The option price is $1,000, and is transferable only to a related entity with the City’s written consent. The right of first refusal could be renewed one time for an additional two years for a $1,000 renewal fee.
