Adrian, MI – WLEN News continues the story about the large tree on the front of the Old Lenawee County Courthouse lawn that was donated by a local family, from Madison Township.
After talking with her son and neighbor, Brad, Teresa Ball decided to have the tree cut, transported, and set in place late last week. Brad was initially approached by City-County Community Christmas Tree coordinator Jim Berryman about donating it. Teresa talked to WLEN News about the family history behind the tree…
The Ball family used to own and operate a Christmas Tree farm. There will be a tree-lighting event for the City of Adrian – Lenawee County Christmas Tree in front of the Old County Courthouse on Monday, December 2nd beginning at 7:00pm.
Lenawee County volunteers are inviting every church in Lenawee County to join in the celebration by ringing their church bells for 5 minutes at that time.
If your church doesn’t have bells, volunteers say to consider gathering together with hand bells on the front of your church steps and ring.
