Joan Marie (Baldwin) Morse, age 90, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at her home after a brief illness.
Joan was born on December 18, 1933, in Chicago, IL the only child of Robert and Helen (Eberhard) Baldwin. She graduated from Angola High School and went on to Tri-State University. Joan’s creativity and style led her to the Ray Vogue College of Design Chicago, where she studied interior design.
On March 20, 1954, Joan married Robert “Bob” Morse in Angola, Indiana, and they shared 66 adventuresome years together before his death on June 30, 2020.
She was naturally artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting. Joan was a passionate reader and bridge player. Joan and Bob were avid travelers and had wonderful memories from taking numerous cruises around the world.
She is survived by her children, John (Sandra) Morse of Blissfield, Jennifer (David) Mallory and James Morse of Adrian; grandchildren, John (Gretchen) Morse of Plainwell, MI, Robert (Stephanie) Morse of Wiesbaden, Germany, Christopher Alcock of Blissfield, Brent (Danielle) Alcock of Toledo, OH, Eric Wood of Adrian, Alison Wood (James Hessler) of Belleville, MI, Michelle Graham of Big Bend, TX; and 12 great-grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; and infant daughter, Cheryl Anne Morse.
