
William John Klumpp, age 62, of Tipton, MI, passed away November 2, 2024, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea, MI. He was born in Saline, MI, June 24, 1962, to John Junior and Shirley Jean (Kuebler) Klumpp. Bill was joined in marriage to his wife, Dawn Marie Meffer, on July 13, 1985 in Saline, MI and she survives. He dedicated thirty-eight years to Uniloy as a committed Service Technician and later as Service Manager.
He had a wide range of interests, from fishing and hunting to cooking, baking, spending time outdoors, and tending to his yard. He had a true gift for storytelling and loved connecting with people, always ready to share a story or a laugh with friends and family. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who cherished every moment spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Dawn, Bill is survived by his mother, Shirley, of Saline MI; his two daughters, Jennifer (Jacob) Petty and Heather Van Sickle, both of Tecumseh MI; four sisters, Karen (Gary) Marion of Longmont, CO, Donna (Charles) Schaible and Laurie (Buck) Naebeck, both of Ann Arbor, MI, and Debbie (Will) Werner of Adrian, MI; five grandchildren, Lucas, Natalie and Kaden Petty, and Skyla, Alexis and Payton Van Sickle; and also, several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, John, and a son-in-law, Craig Van Sickle.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes, with Pastor Gary Miller officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 2 pm – 4 pm and 5 pm – 7 pm and also from 10 am until the time of the service on Monday. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital, Hospice of Lenawee, or the Shriner’s of Michigan.
