Diane Gates, age 74, of Onsted, MI, passed away at her home on Friday, November 1, 2024, surrounded
by loved ones and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.
Diane was born on August 8, 1950, in Wayne, MI, the fourth of five children, to William and Zena
(Maliphant) Gates. After graduating high school Diane married Ken Nyquist (m. 1969-1989) and
together had one daughter, Kristy.
Diane enjoyed reading, decorating her home, and most importantly spending time with her family.
Diane was loved beyond measure. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Kristy (Ken) Harding,
grandchildren Olivia Harding, Sydnie (Zach) Wobrock, and Chase Harding, several great grandchildren,
many nieces and nephews, loving extended family, and friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard; and sisters Pat, Judy and Pam.
A Celebration of Life will be held in early summer 2025.
