Adrian, MI – There will be a Veterans Day event in the City of Adrian this year…but there will be some changes. G. Chandler Bond Post 275 is sponsoring this year’s Veterans Day Service. They are inviting the community to a Thank Our Veterans Walk which will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Adrian.
The post is asking people to begin gathering at the main entrance to the cemetery at around 10am. At 10:30am, there will be a procession from the main entrance to the newly installed Veterans Monument. Post Commander Angela Verner told WLEN News that the service will include recognition of all Veterans present, a speaker, music, the 11th hour remembrance, a 21-gun salute and taps.
Anyone wishing to honor a special Veteran can come and write their name on a poster board or bring their own symbol to carry in the procession.
