Robert Lee Irvine Jr., age 64, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital in Adrian, MI. He was born on October 12, 1960 in Detroit, MI, to the late Robert Lee and Nancy Mary (Dee) Irvine. Always quick with a joke, Rob knew how to make each person he met smile and laugh. Beyond his sense of humor, Rob’s kindness and generosity were second to none. He made each person he met and knew feel valued and important. Rob was a hard worker all of his life. Starting as a teenager, Rob worked as a roofer, but became a jack of all trades along the way. He was a great lover of the outdoors, especially the northern parts of Michigan, where you would usually find him doing his favorite thing, riding his snowmobile.
In addition to his wife, Jean Marecle, Rob is survived by his three children, Robert Lee Irvine III of Adrian, MI, Katie (Bryan) Carthew of Tecumseh MI, and Nicholas Marecle, of Saline MI; a brother, Jeff Irvine, of Sand Creek, MI; two grandchildren, Robert Lee Irvine IV, and Samuel Carthew; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Rob was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Irvine, and sister, Cheryl Pinkerton.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to The Grey Muzzle Organization.
