Barbara Jean Riley, age 79 of Hudson, formerly of Addison, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian. She was born in Hudson, the daughter of Arthur N. and Dorothy M. (Gutting) Weaver.
Barb graduated from Hudson High School in 1963. She married Theodore S. Riley in Hudson on April 14, 1973, and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1994. Barb worked for General Telephone Company in Adrian for several years as a telephone operator and an office assistant. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson. Barb truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, card bingo and spending time with family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Barb is survived by two step-sons, Greg Riley and his family from Missouri and John Riley of Michigan; her brother, Robert Weaver of Florida, a brother-in-law, sisters-in-laws, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, Jack, Patty and Betty.
A Funeral Mass for Barb will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson with Father Todd Koenigsknecht officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Hudson. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
