Nelita Welsh, age 81, of Adrian, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at Springcreek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Adrian. She was born January 29, 1943 in Clayton, MI to Alvin and Vera R. (Bump) Ellis. She graduated from Hillsdale High School. Nelita had been employed by the Lenawee Country Club for many years, retiring on October 25, 1996. She attended St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Rita. L. Welsh of Adrian; a brother, Sheril Ellis (Dorothea) of Adrian; three sisters, Wava Bronis (Chester) of Reed City, MI, Marilyn Royalty (Bob) of Cement City, MI, and Lillavelle Goodlock (Milford) of Clayton, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rita Ellis.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 12:00 PM, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian, with Pastor Dave Cornwell of Gentiva Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, at 11:00 AM until time of service.
