Edward Alfred Roe Jr, age 77, died peacefully on October 23, 2024, at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center in Adrian, MI. He was born on June 8, 1947 in Tecumseh, MI, to the late Edward Alfred Roe Sr. and Isabelle (Patterson). On April 4, 1981 Edward was joined in marriage with Elizabeth Marie Studnick at Grace Lutheran Church in Tecumseh, and they enjoyed over 43 years together.

Edward was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea. After his service he worked at the Ford Motor Company Saline plant for thirty-four years until his retirement in 2002. He then spent the next thirteen years mowing the fairways at the Raisin Valley golf course. Edward was a faithful member of the Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene, the current president and treasurer of the Ridgeway Cemetery Board, and also a member of the Lenawee Conservation League. He enjoyed archery and owned an archery business for several years. You could often find him golfing, bowling, or hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife and best friend, Elizabeth, Edward is survived by his son, Sam Roe of Tecumseh MI; nieces, Zackery LaPointe of Chelsea, MI and Emilie Cadmus of Clinton, MI; nephews, Erich Flynn of Grand Rapids, MI, and Joe VanValkenburg of Tecumseh, MI; and his chosen brother, Gregg Schultz of Tecumseh, MI.

In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his two sisters, Donna Roe and Patricia Van Valkenburg; his brother, Daniel Roe; and his step-father, Eugene Sisty.

A memorial service for Edward will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene, with Kyle Boils and Ray Hansen officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Ridgeway Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene or the Ridgeway Cemetery.
