Joe Thomas Sanford, age 83 of Britton, MI. passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born September 5, 1941, in Martwick, Kentucky to Gerald and Mary (Dawe) Sanford. On March 26, 1966, Joe married the love of his life Judy Beaton, and she preceded him in death in 2019. Joe was a member of the United States Army. Joe was a member of the Britton Bethel Baptist Church.
Joe is survived by his children; Joe (Annette) Sanford, Kellie (Geoffrey) Thiede, and Amanda (Terry) Strand. Grandchildren; Danielle, Katelyn, Brandon, Amber, Zach, Morgan, Taylor, and Austin, and Great-Grandchildren; Hailey, Benjamin, Hannah, William, Amelia, Oliva, Brady, and 1 more on the way. In addition to his wife, Judy, Joe is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for Joe will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 1:00 – 7:00 pm at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home – Tecumseh. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 12:00 pm at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home Tecumseh with Pastor Phil Devaney officiating. A burial will follow at Lenawee Hill Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh Michigan.
