
Raisin Twp., MI – A garage and two cars were destroyed by a recent fire in Raisin Township. Raisin Township Fire Chief Jim Hannah told WLEN News that fire crews responded to the fire at Raisin Center Highway just before 5 AM Monday morning, and cleared the scene by 9 AM.
Chief Hannah told WLEN News that the two cars, a 2018 Ford Escape and a 2015 Dodge Caravan which were parked in the detached garage, were a total loss.
While the garage itself was a total loss, the house sustained only moderate damage, and there were no injuries. By the time first responders arrived, everyone had left the residence.
Fire departments from the City of Adrian, Adrian Township, Clinton, Sand Lake, Ridgeway, Tecumseh and Palmyra assisted the Raisin Township Fire Department.
Chief Hannah further stated that the cause of the fire is under investigation, but is not being treated as suspicious.
