Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Commissioners approved the General Appropriations Act on Wednesday, effectively setting the 2025 county budget. County Administrator Kim Murphy says that next year’s budget is larger than usual due to the county’s commitment to spend more on infrastructure…
Murphy states that while residents have voted that the county can collect up to 5.75 mills, only 5.4 mills are being collected this year, due to the amount of money in the county’s fund balance…
Projects that the county is aiming to invest in include a major renovation for the Rex B. Martin Judicial Building, to take place over the next several years. Since the budget for these projects is coming out of this fund balance, taxpayers can expect to pay less.
