Alice Bryan Gamble – Morenci

Alice Bryan Gamble, age 84, formerly of Hillsdale, died at her residence in Morenci on Thursday, October 3, 2024, while under the care of Hospice of Hillsdale County. She was born August 30, 1940, in Wauseon, Ohio, the youngest of six children of Albert and Dorothy (Good) Kreighbaum. She married Herbert Bryan on September 30, 1955, and he preceded her in death on June 12, 1991. On December 4, 1993, she married Wayne Gamble Sr. He also preceded her in death in 2006.

Alice is fondly remembered for her cheerful personality. She was a fun-loving mother and grandmother, who often showed her affection by her teasing. Alice liked to make crafts including plastic canvases and various crocheted items. She was always up for a game of cards, dice, dominoes or marbles. She and her husband, Wayne, enjoyed many trips on his motorcycle. Alice spent many evenings with a good book or watching her favorite television series, “The Waltons”.

Alice is survived by two sons, Randy (Sue) Bryan of Fayette, OH and Gary (Savina) Bryan of Morenci; three daughters, Bonnie (Kenneth) Kime of Morenci, Terry (Frank) Storrs of Fayette, Julie (John) Wyse of Lyons, OH; a son-in-law, David Aiken of Mount Morris, MI; two step-sons, Wayne Gamble Jr. of Coldwater and Lavern (Sheryl) Gamble of Hillsdale; two step-daughters, Aloma Welch of Coldwater and Irene (Richard) Field of Pensacola, FL; a brother, George Kreighbaum of Adrian; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, Herbert Bryan and Wayne Gamble, she was preceded in death by her parents; her five brothers, Donald, Everett, Ernest, Paul, and George Kreighbaum; two daughters, Shirley Aiken and Gloria Bryan in infancy; a granddaughter, Diana Wyse; grandson, Nathan Storrs; a great-granddaughter, Mysti Snyder; and a great-great granddaughter, Elizabeth Storrs.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Sasha Mangus officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
