
Adrian, MI – Area fire departments fought a fire at a home in the 700 block of Bristol Street, in Adrian, Thursday morning. Crews from the City of Adrian, Madison Township, Cambridge Township, and the City of Tecumseh were dispatched to the fire at around 8am.
City of Adrian Lieutenant Brandon Hughes told WLEN News that the fire appeared to start in the kitchen area, located on the first floor. He said that the fire got up into the attic area and into some walls.
Hughes told WLEN News that there were no people at the house when they arrived, but there were three dogs. They were rescued by firefighters and appeared to be ok. There were several other animals in the home, which were removed safely.
The cause of the fire is not considered suspicious at this time. It remains under investigation.
