
Harold Edward Chaney, 84, of Manitou Beach, Michigan and formerly of Waldron, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Drews Place Village Green in Hillsdale. He was born on October 13, 1939, in Van Wert, Ohio. He married Nancy J. Owens on July 30, 1961, in Venedocia, Ohio. She preceded him in death on September 2, 2012.
He graduated from Ohio City High School in 1957. And retired from Waldron Industries as a supervisor in 2001 after 40 years. Harold enjoyed woodworking, being at the lake, tinkering around the house and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving Harold is his daughter, Jodi Emens ; two grandsons, Devin (Jill) Emens and Dylan (Megan) Emens ; a great-grandson, Mason Emens ; a brother-in-law, Don Cowgill and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by his wife, a daughter, Andrea R. Chaney, a son-in-law, Marty Emens, his mother, Mary Elizabeth Keith, his father, Virgil Leroy Chaney, a brother, Donald Chaney and a sister, Connie Cowgill.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home in Hudson. Private family graveside service will be held at Waldron Cemetery.
