Washington, D.C. – The House Energy and Commerce Committee voted to advance Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act, comprehensive children’s online privacy reform introduced by Representatives Tim Walberg and Kathy Castor.
Walberg said, “The bipartisan COPPA 2.0 is the product of years of work, and today’s passage out of the Energy & Commerce Committee is a massive step forward toward bolstering desperately needed privacy protections for children and teens online.
I thank my colleagues on Energy & Commerce for their efforts and we will continue working to improve the bill and give young people the protections they need.”
