Robert Lewis Huff, age 93, of Adrian and formerly Morenci, passes away early Monday, September 16, 2024, at the Hospice of Lenawee House. He was born in Medina on March 15, 1931, to the late George and Fanny (Brown) Huff. He married Shirley Ann Shay, and though the marriage ended, they remained friends. Bob was very proud of his 32 ½ years driving for Stubnitz & Green, and after his retirement, he worked for a small paving company in Ohio. He was also Clayton Village Marshal for 19 ½ years and served on the Clayton Fire Department. Bob was a very independent person, caring for his own property until recently. He was quite the storyteller and jokester, even joking around with his nurse’s days before his passing. Bob was big into CB radios in past years and loved to cut wood.
Surviving Bob are his children, Linda (Fred) Dusseau, Vickie (John) Maginn, Denise Huff, and Allen (Carol) Huff; son-in-law, Greg Betz; 12 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Teresa Pontious and Roberta Betz; grandsons, Todd and Brian Gilson; and brothers, Milton and Donald Huff.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home in Morenci. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
