Lenawee County, MI – Hunters Helping Lenawee will be having a fund raiser golf outing later this month.
Hunters Helping Lenawee, a program of the Lenawee Community Foundation, provides venison to local food pantries and meal programs. Funds raised assist in covering the cost of processing venison. In 2023, donations paid for processing of nearly 2,400 pounds of venison, generating over 9,545 meals.
Lenawee hunters have been generous in donating deer, that funds used to cover the cost of processing have been depleted. To support this program, Hunters Helping Lenawee is having its second annual golf outing on September 29th at the Tecumseh Golf Club in Tecumseh. Registration fee is $100 per player with a shotgun start at 2pm. This will help build an endowment to support the program for years to come.
