Lois J. (Grammy) Eveleth, age 89, of Adrian, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. She was born on June 19, 1935, in Somerset, Pennsylvania to the late J. Ross and Margaret (Beal) Deal. Lois married the love of her life, Donald Eveleth, on September 4, 1954. They just celebrated over 70 wonderful years together.
Lois was a loving homemaker to her husband and three sons. On top of taking care of her family, Lois nannied many children and taught children’s ministries for over 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Brooklyn, Michigan for 30 years. After moving to Adrian, Lois began attending and eventually became a member of Jasper Bible Church in Jasper, Michigan. She was very dedicated to her church family.
In her younger years, Lois was an outstanding Ballerina. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her garden and hiking. She was known for being a jokester and loved a good prank. Most importantly, Lois cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
To cherish her memory, Lois leaves her loving husband, Don; three sons, Don (Lisa) Eveleth, Allen (Jennifer) Eveleth, and Mark (Lenette) Eveleth; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by a grandchild and sister, Judy Clark.
Visitation for Lois will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Jasper Bible Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service beginning at 1:00 pm. Pastor Bruce Jewett will be officiating. Burial will follow at Raisin Valley Cemetery in Adrian.
