Adrian, MI – The Adrian Center for the Arts has announced a Young Artists Metalsmith Studio Jewelry Internship Program. The program is for serious young artists who have an interest in metal smithed wearable art/jewelry creation.
ACA metalsmithing is a welcoming, creative community with small classes, intensive instruction, passionate instructors and a comprehensive studio. This program will work with student artists ages 14 to 22 to collaborate in the fabrication of metal to create original wearable art.
Students receive individual and group instruction in fabrication of copper, brass and sterling silver to create wearable art in the form of rings, bracelets, pendants and keychains.
Four of the applicants that are accepted will be eligible for a full scholarship. The program is a school year long program of at least two of three eight-week sessions. Classes meet weekly for four hours with a minimum of an additional four hours of studio work. For more information and the application please visit adriancenterforthearts.org.
