DANIEL N. MERILLAT, Sr., of Pittsford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was born on January 11, 1944, in Hudson, the son of Jacob S. and Ila M. (Lumbardo) Merillat. Dan graduated from Hudson High School in 1961. He married Diana L. Wilmoth on July 23, 1964, in Hudson. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2020.
Dan worked at Metalloy Foundry in Hudson for over 40 years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving Dan, is his four children; Tina Haskell of West Unity, OH, Tammy Avery of Pioneer, OH, Daniel N. (Monica) Merillat, Jr. of Quincy and Toni Pence of Gilbert, Arizona, seven grandchildren; Joshua, Kyle, Shauna, Andrea, Caitlin, Ethan and Olivia, eleven great grandchildren, four brothers; Larry (Ruth) Merillat of Osseo, David (Barbara) Merillat of Hudson, Robert (Beth) Merillat of Adrian and Edward Merillat of Hudson, a sister; Nancy Fackler of Adrian and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
