
Adrian, MI – The Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Lenawee has accepted the resignation of Cody Waters from his position as CEO effective September 13th.
BGCL says that Waters has accepted a position with Boys & Girls Club of America as Director of Organizational Development. He and his family plan to remain in the Adrian community. Waters has been with BGCL for the past six years.
In 2023 Waters (right) was named Michigan Boys & Girls Clubs CEO of the Year. During his time with BGCL, Waters has strengthened community connections, helped BGCL complete a $2.5-million Capital Campaign, and worked to enhance state-wide funding for Clubs across Michigan.
Waters also led the way for BGCL to purchase the Club’s first van/mobile club unit. The Board wishes Waters well in his new endeavors and extends its thanks for his dedication and leadership.
Sara Herriman (left), current Director of Community Relations and Development, has been named Interim CEO effective September 14th. She will serve in this capacity as the organization conducts a search for its next CEO. The Board has engaged Boys & Girls Club of America to assist in the search process.
