Sheriff’s Office: Coworker Stabs Coworker in Bedford Twp.

Bedford Twp., MI – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a stabbing that took place in Bedford Township. Sheriff Troy Goodnough  said in a news release that the felonious assault occurred in the 71 hundred block of Crabb Road at around 6:30pm Tuesday.

The 911 caller reported an altercation between two males, and one was stabbed. Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene to find a 39-year-old employee with a deep laceration to his forearm; deputies learned from witnesses that the 39-year-old suspect fled the scene prior to their arrival.

The victim was ultimately transported to Toledo ProMedica Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Through investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff Detectives, they learned that the victim and suspect were coworkers. For unknown reasons, a verbal argument ensued between the workers. That verbal argument then turned into a physical altercation.

During the physical altercation, detectives determined that the suspect pulled out a knife and assaulted the victim. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau.
