Audrey M. Stuck, age 96, of Waldron, died Wednesday morning, August 28, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family while under the care of Hospice of Hillsdale County. She was born November 28, 1927, in Ransom Township, the daughter of Roy and Ida (King) Elser.

A lifelong Waldron area resident, she graduated from Waldron High School with the Class of 1945. She married Leslie S. “Bud” Stuck the following year on February 24, 1946. Together they proudly raised three sons and enjoyed 58 years of companionship before his passing in January of 2004.

Primarily a housewife, Audrey also worked part-time through the years collecting water bills for the Village of Waldron and worked at the former egg factory in town. She was a member of the Order of Pythian Sisters for over 50 years. She enjoyed gardening and canned much of her ample harvests each year. An avid birdwatcher, she was faithful in keeping them well fed. As the years passed, Audrey most enjoyed the blessings of her multiple generations of grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, Mikel Stuck of Pioneer, OH and Norman Stuck of Waldron; daughter-in-law, Rose Stuck of WA; seven grandchildren, Mary Stuck of Waldron, Nicole (Shawn) Barnhart of Waldron, Samantha (Erik) Simmons of Waldron, Shannon Stuck of Hillsdale, Ryan (Jessica) Stuck of Bryan, OH, Jessica (Jason) Rutan of WA, and Jenna (Travis) Hall of Waldron; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; son, Robert A. Stuck; brother, Arnold Elser; and sister, Alice Manley.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Hudson, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until a funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. Pastor Kim Repp will officiate. Inurnment will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Waldron Cemetery.
