Stephen “Steve” Arlen Haggard, age 66, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Frankenmuth, Michigan, on Friday, August 23, 2024. He was born to Arlen R. and Weba A. (Norris) Haggard on July 2, 1958, in Tecumseh, Michigan.
Steve graduated from high school then went on to earn a Bachelor of Business degree Ferris State University, and a pilot’s license from NMC. He enjoyed his work as the Director of Operations and pilot for the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings organizations, retiring earlier this year. Steve enjoyed going up north Michigan with Traverse City being his favorite spot. He loved the outdoors; in his free time, you could find him camping or tearing up the trails on his dirt bike in his youth. Steve had a passion for music and frequently went to concerts. Some of the best moments were his time spent with friends and of course, flying.
Left to cherish the memory of Steve are his sons, Sam Haggard, Jacob (Samantha) Haggard; father, Arlen; stepbrothers, Michael (Anna) George, David (Kim) George; and granddaughter, Archer Haggard.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Weba; stepmother, Juanita Haggard and stepfather, Ben Colecchia.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, Michigan from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Funeral will also be at the funeral home on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Darren Lemmon officiating.
