Margaret “Marge” Kope, age 80, of Adrian, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at her home. She was born February 23, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio to Carl and Helen (Bennett) Goulding. On June 11, 1966, she married Franklin Kope in Toledo, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2021. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Early FordV-8 Club of America. Marge enjoyed sharing her time with “Share the Warmth” and a widow’s club that shared companionship, prayer and dinners.
Marge is survived by three children, Daniel (Erika) Kope of Addison, Ann Kope of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Douglas Kope of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren, Sarah, Jennifer, Allison, and Nina; one great-granddaughter, Jocelyn; and a brother, Robert Goulding of Toledo, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Clair Goulding.
The Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Holy Family Parish, St. Mary’s Campus, presided by Father Michael Neuman. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Adrian Chapel of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, where there will be a Rosary held at 7:30 P.M.
