Robert L. Terry, age 84, of rural Fayette, died Wednesday morning, August 21, 2024, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon, while under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born May 9, 1940, in Wauseon, to Errett and Vera (Slagle) Terry.
Bob was a 1958 graduate of the former Chesterfield High School. On July 14, 1961, in Munson, he married the love of his life, Morenci native Sharon Mansfield, and they made their forever home in Fayette.
A carpenter by trade, Bob was self-employed for many years and later worked in maintenance for Bio Lab in Adrian, MI, where he ultimately retired in 2010. In his spare time he enjoyed watching television and loved making memories with his grandchildren and more recently his great-grandchildren. His dry sense of humor and sarcasm will always be remembered.
Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Sharon; a brother, Donald Terry of Lyons; two sisters, Ruth Deck of Wauseon and Carol Zimmerman of Brooklyn, MI; a daughter-in-law, Judy Terry of Delaware, OH; four grandchildren; Justin (Theresa) Terry of Findlay, Amber (Nick) Hickman of Delaware, OH, Aaron Terry and April Terry both of Marion, OH; and eight great-grandchildren, Kendra, Mariah, Lilly, Kyra, Aurora, Adrianna, Ariel, and Trevor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randy Terry in 2021.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Morenci, on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Valerie Kinsman officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette.
