Kenneth Burr Glaser III, age 71, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024. He was born to Kenneth and Nancy (Williams) Glaser Jr. on March 26, 1953, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
After graduating high school, Ken went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in English and Writing from Grand Valley State University. He then went to drive for Sysco and USF Holland where he retired in 2015, all the while enjoying his growing family and the natural beauties nature had to offer. When Ken was not on the road he would be working on projects or fixing something. He was a hard worker with an amazing heart, and any time his family, friends or neighbors needed help he would be there. Ken enjoyed his many years as a Science Olympiad coach, and running Science and Robotics programs at Allendale Middle and High School. He was a great role model to not only his children but the many other students he coached through the years. Ken was a true outdoorsman and instilled that in his family and children with many vacations throughout the country. He especially loved camping and being on the water boating, canoeing or kayaking. His faith meant everything to him and he was an avid church goer. Most of all Ken loved his family and cherished his role as a grandfather. It was important to him to take care of them and see them succeed. Anyone that knew Ken knew that he was a jokester and brought a smile to everyone around him. He will be greatly missed by all.
Left to cherish his memory are his former wife, Kim Glaser of 37 years; and their sons, Patrick (Danielle) Glaser, Joe Glaser; and daughter, Sarah (Cody) Buczek; his brothers, William (Maila) Glaser, John (Annette) Glaser, Tim Glaser, Matthew (Annette) Glaser; and sister, Becky (Gilbert) Ledesma; and his grandchildren, Ollie, Oaklee, Finlee Buczek, and Murphy Glaser who is on the way.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents
Visitation for Ken will be Monday, August 26, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church, Adrian, Michigan, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
