Vavle “Val” Burgess-Browneller, age 93, of Adrian, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born on June 7, 1931, in Paragould, Arkansas to the late Noah and Essie (Gramlin) Beasley. Val worked for General Motors as a Sewing Machine Operator for many years.
To cherish her memory, Val leaves her children: Dennis Burgess, Diane (Ron) Lance, Terry Burgess, Timothy (Brenda) Burgess, Mark (Tammy) Burgess, and Pamela Skeels; a very special granddaughter, Shelly Waters; 20 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; three brothers; and two sisters. Val was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and one grandson.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 11:00 am until the funeral begins at 1:00 pm. Rev. RD Lance will officiate. Burial will follow in Lenawee County Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh, Michigan.
