Leroy Norman Gardner, age 94, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away August 17, 2024 at Promedica Hickman Hospital, Adrian, Michigan. He was born November 4, 1929 in Ann Arbor, MI to Norman R. And Norma O. (Meyer) Gardner. He married Vera May Scott on October 16, 1971.
He was a member of The Tecumseh United Methodist Church, a General Motors retiree, and life member Ann Arbor Fraternity Lodge F. & A.M.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Vera May Scott,
sister, Norma J. “Dolly” Gillet, and brothers in law, Jack C. Gillet and Robert V. Austin.
Roy is survived by a daughter, Renee L. (Terry) Selders of Bryson City, NC, grandson, Jeremy M. (Angel) Selders, of Franklin, NC, sister in law, Doris M. Austin of Lutz, FL, and cousins, nephews, and nieces. Also surviving are brother in law and sister in law, Frederick and Caroline Holland of Midland, MI.
At Roy’s request, there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be conducted at Brookside Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024 under the direction of Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh, MI with Reverend Noah Beasley officiating.
