River Raisin Watershed Council Recognized by County Commission for 50th Anniversary

Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners recognized the 50th anniversary of the River Raisin Watershed Council.

The Council was established in 1974 under the Michigan Local River Management Act, whose mission is to inspire responsible stewardship, improve water quality, and foster public participation in protecting, preserving, and enhancing the River Raisin Watershed.

The proclamation, read at the recent Commission meeting, highlighted the Council’s tireless efforts, countless volunteers, and passionate leadership.

The council will celebrate their 50th anniversary September 14th at the Tobias Center on the Adrian College campus.
