Harold R. “Butch” Butler, Jr., age 78 years of Adrian, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Hickman Hospital in Adrian. He was born on August 12, 1946, in Tecumseh, the son of Harold R. and Mary (Yenor) Butler, Sr., Harold graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1965.
Harold married Pamela R. Forrister on August 23, 1982, in Toledo, Ohio. She survives. He worked at General Telephone of Adrian for numerous years. Harold was a member Antique Tractor Club, and his hobbies included listening to 60’s and 70’s music, yardwork and Michigan Football. He was known as the “puzzle man” for the numerous puzzles Butch and Pam completed, glued and framed for children.
Surviving Harold is his wife, Pam, a son, Anthony (Stefany) Butler, a brother, Terry (Teri) Butler, a sister, Karen Niska, and several other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Adeline Handy, Della Partain and Lois Bivins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Fritz Kruse officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
