Rachel Leah Sarabia, age 53, of Blissfield, died suddenly on Wednesday evening, July 31, 2024. She was born September 10, 1970, in Cape Girardeau, MO, to the late Carole Elaine Bishop and Roger Lee Price Sr.

Rachel was a loving mother, devoted wife, caring sister, and steadfast friend. She had a unique ability to light up a room with her fiery personality tempered by her deep, unconditional love. Her infectious laugh left a lasting warmth long after you had seen her.

Rachel cherished many things, including her beloved pugs, her daughter Molly—who was her world—her husband, and her close family and friends. After working in various roles, including as an optician, for the Department of Tourism for the state of Illinois, and in the restaurant industry, Rachel devoted herself full-time to raising her daughter, Molly.

In her free time, Rachel enjoyed playing card games (she was the best rummy player you’d ever meet), solving crossword puzzles, sharing entertaining stories about her life, watching reality TV, and planning her next beach trip, where she found immense peace and joy.

Rachel is survived by her beloved daughter, Molly Elaine Price; her husband of 13 years, Luis Sarabia; step-son Brian Sarabia; her younger brother, Roger Price Jr.; younger sister, Renee Price; half-brother Jay Nanney; half-sisters Melissa Manier and Irene Jenkins; and her pugs, Loretta and Ringo, who were like children to her. She is also survived by many loving extended family members and close friends.

Rachel was preceded in death by her loving mother, Carole Bishop; her father, Roger Price Sr.; and her pugs JoJo and Jules, whom she adored and cared for deeply.

Rachel will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to experience her maternal nature and free spirit.

In accordance with Rachel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial visitation at Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield, on Friday, August 16, 2024, from noon until the memorial service begins at 3:00 p.m.
