Lenawee County Family Researchers to Hold Educational Program at Historical Society

Adrian, MI – The August meeting and educational program of the Lenawee County Family Researchers will be held in partnership with the Lenawee Historical Society.

The society says that the meeting will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, August 6th, in the Frazier Auditorium on the second floor of the Lenawee Historical Museum on East Church Street in Adrian.

The doors will open at 5:30 for socializing and networking with the program scheduled to begin at 6 pm.

This month’s speaker is Carolyn Bater, Register of Deeds for Lenawee County. She will be speaking about the records on file in the Register of Deeds office.

The Register of Deeds office is responsible for receiving, recording and digital storage of all legal documents affecting Real Estate within Lenawee County…including, but not limited to, Deeds, Land Contracts, Mortgages, Liens, Surveys and Land Corners.

Lenawee County Family Researchers programs are open to the public and are free, although donations are accepted.
