
Adrian, MI – The Adrian City Commission will meet Monday evening for their regularly scheduled gathering. The meeting will begin tonight at 6pm. Work session topics include an update on the MI Neighborhood grant for housing rehabilitation that the City expects to receive from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, discussions regarding the City’s vacant buildings ordinance, and the continued use of Spanish translation software at City Commission meetings.
Other agenda items include a public hearing on the MI Neighborhood grant, approval of the purchase of a new ambulance, the purchase of FirstNet cellular phones for the Police Department, and approval of a new contract with the Police Officers’ Labor Council, among other matters.
The Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday, August 6th, beginning at 7 pm. On the agenda is a preliminary planned unit development plan for the redevelopment of the Bixby Hospital property, and a proposal for the renovation of the ‘Seasons’ building on South Main Street. Both meetings will take place in the City Chambers Building on East Maumee Street.
