Maria Del Carmen Navarro – Adrian

Maria Del Carmen Navarro, age 91, of Adrian, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in her home under the loving care of her daughter, Teresa. She was born July 16, 1933, in Crystal City, Texas, the daughter of Franciso G. and Ascencion Ledesma. She married Rogelio Navarro Sr. on December 2, 1950, in Lansing, Michigan. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2014.

Carmen was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish. St. Mary Campus. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her laughter, great food, wonderful hugs and devotion to her church.

Carmen in survived by her children, Rogelio (Alice) Navarro Jr., Lucy Escamilla, Teresa Navarro; her grandchildren Jaime Escamilla, Lora (Tony) Calliham, Mary Alice (Viktor) Rodriguez, Rogelio (Shana) Navarro III, Jose (Liz) Navarro; and great-grandchildren Sofia Escamilla, Abel, Rebekah, and Alaina Calliham, Carmen, Rogelio IV, Jarvis and Robert Navarro, Isabella, Ana, Lucas, and Quinn Navarro, and Zaul Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings John Ledesma, Franciso Ledesma, Larry Ledesma, Petra Ledesma Parras, Ramon Ledesma, and son-in-law, Rene Escamilla.

The Family will receive friends and family for visitation at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Michael Newman OSFS. on Monday August 5, 2024, at 10:30 am at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Campus in Adrian. If you are unable to join us in person, the mass will be live streamed on the Holy Family Parish Adrian Facebook page.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her honor to Holy Family Parish – St. Mary Food Pantry. In appreciation, the Navarro family wishes to especially acknowledge and express their heartfelt thanks to the personal care takers, Amanda from Lenawee Department of Aging and Haley from Hospice of Lenawee for the excellent care given to their mother.
