Judith “Judy” Ann Seigneur, age 73, formerly of Tecumseh, MI, died on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Gas Light Village in Adrian, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.
Judy was born on February 23, 1951, in Adrian, MI, the oldest daughter of Mevin A. and Joan A. (Hechinger) Seigneur. She graduated from Adrian High School with the Class of 1969. Judy continued her education at Adrian College and Eastern Michigan University, before completing her master’s degree in California, where she lived for 20 years.
Judy was a Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, LPC, CAADC, retiring from Adrian Counseling & Psychiatric Care in 2020. Judy loved to travel and read, and she supported many environmental causes. Judy had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. She loved cats and had many wonderful pets over the years.
She is survived by her sister, Sandy (Jon) Wedemeyer; niece, Katie Wedemeyer; close cousins, Debbie (Koch) Schwartz and Linda Seigneur, along with other cousins. Close friends who will miss her dearly are Peggy Gruel, Maripat Perkins, Heide Kaminski, Dawn Thomas and Judy McNamee. Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
Following Judy’s wishes, cremation will take place with a celebration of life at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee Humane Society or the Audubon Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian.
