Looking at the Lenawee County Commission August Primary

Lenawee County, MI – There are a few Lenawee County Commissioner seats being challenged in the August Primary Election.

In District 2, which includes Woodstock Township, Cambridge Township, and Rome Township, incumbent Republican Dustin Krasny is being challenged by John Lapham.

In District 3, which is Rollin Township, Hudson Township, Medina Township, the City of Hudson, and the City of Morenci, Republicans David Aungst and Michael Leonard are vying for their party’s nomination.

District 4 has incumbent Republican Dawn Bales being challenged by Beth Blanco. District 4 includes Dover Township, Madison Charter Township, Seneca Township (excluding City of Morenci), and Fairfield Township.

District 5, which includes the east side of the City of Adrian, has two Democratic candidates on the ballot… James Daly and Martin Marshall.

In District 7, incumbent Republican Kevon Martis is being challenged by David Pixley, Senior. District 7 includes Palmyra, Blissfield , Deerfield, Ogden, Riga, and Ridgeway Townships.

In District 8, which includes the east side of Adrian Township and Raisin Township, incumbent Republican Ralph Tillotson is being challenged by two candidates… Meghan Van Dame and Matthew Witte.

Seven of the 9 sitting Commissioners filed for re-election…except for Karol ‘KZ’ Bolton in District 5, and Nancy Jenkins-Arno from District 3. Bolton has been a Commissioner for Adrian’s east side since 2002. Jenkins-Arno has been a Commissioner since 2019…and is currently running for a seat in Lansing.
