
Frances Ann Hunter (Flores), affectionately known as Fran, passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 76 at Toledo Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born on August 22, 1947, in Adrian, Michigan, Fran dedicated her life to caring for others, both as a nurse to others and within her own family.
Fran attended Catholic Central and graduated from Adrian High School in 1966 before pursuing a degree from the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Her commitment to healthcare extended throughout her career until her retirement from Delphi Motors in 2012, marking decades of compassionate service.
Fran was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Ann Hunter Jones, Jeffrey Allen Hunter, and Brian Lee (Jennifer) Hunter. Fran’s joy was multiplied by her grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob (Mother, Wendy Hunter), Evan, Sydney, and Elizabeth (Father, Doug Jones), who brought her immense happiness. She also leaves behind her brother, Chris (Pam) Flores, her nieces Ali Flores, Buffy Hunter and Jen (Tom) Esler and nephew, Austin (Katie) Flores. Also surviving are many more family members and friends who she considered family.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 45 years, Allen Hunter; her parents, Frederico and Maria Flores; her brother Guadalupe Flores; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Ruby Hunter; sister-in-law, Kathy Hunter; and brother-in-law, Keith Hunter.
Fran cherished her annual summer vacations with her family in South Haven, where memories were made and valued by all who joined. She spent many hours playing with her cat, Nalo, who will miss her. Taking care of her yard and watering her beautiful flowers brought her much peace.
Memorial visitation for Fran will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 am with visitation starting one hour prior. Rev. Richard Webb will officiate. Fran’s life and legacy will be remembered for her unwavering kindness and the profound impact she had on all of those who she loved and cared for.
