
Clinton, MI – Clinton Community Schools recently announced the appointment of Amy Chandler as the new K-5 Assistant Principal. A news release by the district says that Chandler brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to education, making her a valuable addition to the Clinton administrative team.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English Language Arts, and a Master’s degree in Reading. She also has a Reading Specialist endorsement for K-12th grade.
Chandler’s career in education spans 26 years, beginning at Dearborn Public Schools. She also taught at Manchester. At Clinton Community Schools, she has served in various roles for the past 15 years, starting as a reading specialist supporting elementary students. Her expertise in reading instruction extended to teaching reading classes at the middle and high school levels.
Most recently, Chandler has been an instructional coach, assisting teachers with best practices in reading instruction. She also has experience as a first-grade teacher at Clinton Elementary School…and is a mother of three Clinton graduates.
