Sylvania, OH – The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash on Centennial Road near Erie Street in the City of Sylvania.
The crash occurred on Saturday night at approximately 11 p.m. A Jeep Wrangler operated by a 54 year old Lyons, Ohio man was southbound on Centennial Road. 78-year-old Swanton, Ohio man, and 66-year-old Swanton woman were pedestrians in the road. The two pedestrians were struck by the Jeep.
The driver, and passenger, were treated on scene. The two pedestrians were taken to a Toledo hospital. The woman, Therese Fern, succumbed to her injuries. The man has life- threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
