
Carlo Roger Mobley, aged 74, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024 surrounded by the love & support of his family. He was born on June 17, 1950 in Tecumseh, Michigan. He graduated from Tecumseh High School, attended Ferris State University on a football scholarship, & proudly served our country in Vietnam as a United States Army police officer. He married the love of his life, Martha (Valdez) Mobley on September 18th, 1976 in Tecumseh, Michigan. Carlo worked for the Federal Bureau of Justice at Milan prison & also for Tecumseh Public Schools. He was a coach and a softball instructor at Michigan Sports Academy in Saline, Michigan. He thoroughly enjoyed working with young athletes to help prepare them for future success inside & outside of the classroom and softball field.
Carlo was a great father & role model. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Alicia, Marcy & Major; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ty, & Justice & all of the lives he touched over the years as a youth softball instructor & coach.
Carlo was preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Valdez) Mobley; parents, Hubert & Rose (Baughey) Mobley, brother, Mike Mobley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, 210 W. Pottawatamie Street, Tecumseh, MI, with Rev. Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery, 501 N. Union Street, Tecumseh. Family, friends, and others whose lives Carlo touched are welcome to the visitation at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2024 to reminisce and celebrate his life. An additional visitation will take place on Friday, July 19, from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service.
