Adrian Public Schools Awarded $32,000 from Student Loan Repayment Program

Adrian, MI – Adrian Public Schools has announced that it has been awarded $32,000 from the Michigan Department of Education’s 27k Student Loan Repayment Program. The goal of the program is to support educators by alleviating the burden of student loan repayments, thereby fostering a more supportive and thriving educational environment.

Nikki Culley, Director of Human Resources at Adrian Public Schools, who spearheaded the grant application, expressed her excitement about the award. “This grant is a tremendous opportunity to support our teachers who work tirelessly to provide quality education to our students. By alleviating some of their financial burdens, we hope to enhance their professional and personal well-being, ultimately benefiting the entire Adrian Public Schools community.”

Superintendent Nate Parker praised the program, emphasizing its role in addressing the ongoing teacher shortage. “Programs like the 27k Student Loan Repayment Program are essential in supporting and retaining our educators. This funding not only helps our current teachers but also makes our district more attractive to prospective educators.
