Zoe Ann Maher age 88 of Tecumseh passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Hampton Manor in Adrian. She was born April 21, 1936 in Flint the daughter of the late Henry James and Zae E. (Smith) Burns. In April of 1964 she married Robert L. Maher and they shared 44 years together until his passing on February 18, 2008.
Zoe graduated from Michigan State University in 1958. She loved traveling, taking trips to the casino and reading. Zoe loved music and enjoyed going to the theatre and attending the Big Band concerts at the Tecumseh Center of the Arts.
Zoe is survived by her children, Ann Maher of Monroe, James Patrick Maher of Michigan Center, and Sharon Maher of Tecumseh; a sister-in-law, Susanne Broski of Rockford, IL and a brother-in-law, John N. Maher of San Antonio, TX along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Robert she was preceded in death by her daughter, Meigan Maureen Maher.
In accordance to Zoe’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life for her will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee and Reeling and Healing Midwest.
