LolaLee K. Reau, of Blissfield, passed away peacefully shortly before her 100th birthday at Blissfield Place on July 4, 2024. She was born September 14, 1924, in Deerfield, MI, to Vern and Mildred (Miller) Perry. She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1943.
In 1946 she married Charles “Wendy” Zibbell, and had sons Bradley Charles and Gary Lee. After Charles died, Lola married “the love of her life,” Wilfred Reau in 1972.

Lola was a member of Light of Christ Parish in Blissfield for many years. She enjoyed keeping house, walking with her friends in Coach Light Estates, reading, knitting, crocheting, playing games and working puzzles. She will be fondly remembered for always being ready to organize a party, game or activity. She crocheted each grandchild a personalized afghan for graduation. Lola made everyone feel like they were her favorite, and that she was waiting all day just to see them.

She is survived by her son, Bradley Zibbell, and the family she raised as her own after marrying Wilfred, Betty (Terry) Diefenbach, Linda (Charles) Knotek, Phyllis (Wayne) Escott, Brian (Christy) Reau, Mary (Lorne) Curtis, Rita (Zell) Eisenmann, and son-in-law Cody Jones. She was known as “Mimmie” to 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary; brothers, Alvin, LaVern, LeRoy, Bernard and George Perry; daughter-in-law, Pamela Zibbell, and daughter, Janice Jones.

A memorial visitation will take place Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 4 until 8 P.M. at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel, Blissfield; with a 7:30 P.M. rosary. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 11 A.M. at Light of Christ Parish, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Blissfield with Fr. Jeff Poll and Fr.
