
Lansing, MI – State Senator Joseph Bellino has applauded the announcement that more than $200,000 in Going PRO Talent Fund grants have been awarded to five businesses across Monroe and Hillsdale counties to help train local workers.
The Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity makes Going PRO Talent Fund awards available to employers through the state’s workforce system, commonly known as Michigan Works! Agencies.
In Monroe County, TWB Company LLC was awarded $72,390 to train 42 workers, $46,690 was granted to Trailer Connection LLC to train 25 employees and Advanced Heat Treat Corp received $12,460 to train seven workers. Each of the businesses is located in the city of Monroe.
In Hillsdale County, Ross Design and Engineering in Cement City was awarded $45,930 to train 57 employees and Precision Gage in the city of Hillsdale received $25,000 to train 14 workers.
