Marjorie J. Robertson, age 86 of Morenci, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born March 12, 1938 to Edward and Clara Armbruster in Marion, Ohio. Marjorie married Leslie Robertson on January 12, 1963 and together they had 4 children.
Marjorie was a devoted wife and mother who spent her time raising her children and enjoying her role as homemaker. She was a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Metamora, Ohio, as well as Morenci Bible Fellowship in Morenci, Michigan. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, canning and freezing her husband’s fresh garden produce, and talking on the phone with her sisters. She was a strong, brave woman who took her one and only airplane ride to California when her youngest daughter got married in 2003. She also bravely endured open heart surgery at age 78 which allowed her to spend her remaining 8 years loving her family. Her family was devoted to her care until she took her final breath.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Leslie; son Matthew; daughters Linda and Cheryl (Vincent) Moore; and brother James Armbruster. She was preceded in death by her parents, 9 brothers and sisters, and her son Mark.
The family will receive guests on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, 303 N. Summit Street, Morenci, Michigan, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Morenci. With burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery, Morenci. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a future designation.
