Adrian, MI – The fireworks season has begun, with the 4th of July holiday this week, so WLEN News has compiled some safety tips to celebrate responsibly this year.
- Never allow young children to play with or ignite fireworks.
- Always supervise children.
- Light fireworks one at a time.
- Keep a bucket of water, garden hose or fire extinguisher nearby.
- Never shoot fireworks off in metal or glass containers.
- Never use fireworks while impaired by drugs or alcohol.
- Only use them away from people, houses and flammable material.
- Never point or throw fireworks at another person.
