
She was born on June 9, 1927, to Emile and Alma Vearl (Akins) Dusseau in Deerfield, MI. Dolores graduated as Valedictorian from Deerfield High School. On May 17,1945, Dolores married Ivan Weasel at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Deerfield MI. Dolores was raised Methodist and later converted to Catholic.
Dolores worked at the Deerfield Telephone Co. for many years. In September of 1960, Ivan and Dolores and their 5 children moved to Tecumseh, MI. While raising her 5 children Dolores graduated from Adrian Beauty Academy. She worked for Eva’s Beauty Shop in Tecumseh MI. In 1970, Ivan and Dolores and four of their younger children moved to Leesburg, FL. Dolores worked at various beauty shops in Leesburg FL, until her retirement in 2002. Ivan passed away February 19, 1989. Dolores later moved to East Coachwood Colony, where she served on committees, played cards, and made delicious coffee cakes for the residents. After moving to Mayfield Assisted Living in 2020, Dolores continued playing cards and bingo. The family would like to thank Mayfield Assisted Living previous and present staff for all they did for our mother.
Dolores will be dearly missed by her children: Pamela (George) Rebusmen of Fruitland Park; FL, Jacalyn (Ronald) Findley of Hudson, MI; Rebecca Teninty, and Terry Weasel both of Leesburg FL; Robin Smith (Murry Shaw) of Weirsdale, FL and Cleo Blackwell (Robert Williams) of Ocklawaha FL; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Ivan, Dolores was preceded by infant daughter Karleen, infant son Thomas, daughter Sandra Weasel Hammond, and granddaughter Jannel Findley.
Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2024, from 7 pm to 8 pm at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL Graveside Services will be Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10 am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, FL.
